A/Prof Hooper

A/Prof Hooper is a specialist anaesthetist, holding both Fellowship of the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) and the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) in the UK, and also holds Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS).

He is the Medical Director of an aeromedical retrieval organisation and medical retrieval consultant experienced in pre-hospital and retrieval critical care, and has undertaken subspecialty training time in both trauma anaesthesia (at a major Queensland trauma centre) and retrieval medicine.

He is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals, and also delivers a small amount of private anaesthesia, predominantly in orthopaedic surgery.

He is heavily involved in medical education, and holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at Charles Darwin Univeristy. In addition to a medical degree, he holds a Masters Degree by Research in Science, and a Bachelors degree (with Honours) in Science.
